How do I join Near Me Delivery?
It is quick and easy to join Near Me Delivery. All you have to do is fill out your information on website and then upload the correct documentation required to be a courier with ourselves. Once your account has been verified, we will get out on the road.
What vehicle do I use for deliveries?
To do deliveries with ourselves you have to provide your own form of transport this can be a bicycle, car, van or motorbike / scooter.
How & when will I get paid?
Majority of our clients pay the drivers weekly, however some pay the drivers at the end of the shift.
Can I be flexible in what hours I work?
Drivers are asked to put in their own availability on a biweekly basis and are assigned shifts based on the days which the drivers state they can work.
What benefits do I get as a Near Me Delivery driver?
NearMe delivery protects the driver to ensure that they are earning. We protect the driver to ensure they earn a minimum protecting amount across a shift. Each client will have a differing protection amount.
What documents are required to become a driver?
To become a driver, you will require a valid driving license, proof of address within the last 3 months, valid insurance certificate, valid MOT, valid road tax and a United Kingdom bank account.
Some clients require drivers to have challenge 25 training due to drivers delivering alcohol.
What Insurances do I need to become a driver?
You require to have valid car insurance certificate as well as Hire and Reward insurance.
What clothing do I wear to do deliveries?
All drivers are required to be smartly dressed when doing deliveries for NearMe Delivery.
Drivers are not permitted to wear any football colours or tracksuits. Some clients provide additional clothing for driver ie Cap, or high visibility vest.
What is the minimum age to become a Near Me Delivery driver?
Due to some of clients delivering alcohol and tobacco, the minimum age for our drivers is 18 years old.
Do I work as an employee or contractor as a Near Me Delivery driver?
All our driver are sub-contractors.
Am I responsible for my own tax & national insurance?
It is a driver responsibility as a sub-contractor to be responsible for the payment of their own National Insurance and Coporation Tax payments.
